Nighthawk is a complete Blended Wing, providing extensive lift capabilities and weight capacity far greater then conventional aircraft today, and very fast. Nighthawk is able to cruise at Mach .90 - 95 subsonically and up to Mach 1.25-1.50 for trans ocean flights, for example New York to London, Sydney to Tokyo, etc.

Total Length: 75' 6" and Total Space: 67' 8" including wing tips

Cabin

  • Main Cabin, 25' L X 10'W X 6' 6" H main cabin

  • Lavatory 6'L X 6'3" Height

  • Fwd Cabin (Crew) 8' 3" Length, double sided for fwd lavatory for crew, storage, seating, and galley. The fwd cabin additionally has access to the pressurized baggage compartment (not in the rear of the aircraft)

  • Baggage, 200 Cu Ft W internal access. Plus, 36W X 24" D Internal additional baggage for crew.

  • Total Cabin Length from Lavatory to Cockpit: 44'.

  • Passengers, As viewed 2 configurations 14 comfortably or 12 with an owners/primaries sleeper cabin. Can be reconfigured for up to 18 removing the wrap around couch.

Systems and Technology

  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered (100% Green).

  • Fuel, Compressed Hydrogen utilizing conforming tank (patented) modular for easy maintenance.

  • Tanks are meant to be modular intentionally. If a tank needs to be replaced, just open the access panel from the skin, replace the tank. instead of 2 very large conforming tanks, which could cost several hundred thousand dollars to replace, using this methodology reduces replacement and maintenance costs overall to just thousands. Same applies for the 2 wing tanks, maybe $100,000 to replace. This would be a rare occurrence, but a strong selling point for cost of ownership.

  • Fuel Capacity, 1.386 Million cu inches (equivalent to 6,000 Liquid Gallons) of H2 Storage, and pressures of 8,000-16,000 PSI

  • Fuel Weight at 8,000 PSI capacity, 5000 LBS and tanks can operate up to 16,000 PSI which is apx 10,000 LBS.

  • Fuel Cells, 1.345 Megawatts of output power at 100% output, with above fuel capacity apx 10-11 hrs endurance at full power output.
    Propulsion.

  • 5 28" Dia graphene based super conducting edf's at 9,000 RPM would average 2,500 LBS S/LBS thrust each or 12,500+ LBS thrust during subsonic cruise and up to 4,000 lbs thrust each during take off and accent to cruise altitudes, totalling 20,000 LBS.

  •  Maintaining a cruise above Mach .90 at 45,000-50,000ft. Additionally, the propulsion can accelerate the aircraft to supersonic velocities at apx 50,000 ft altitude for trans ocean high speed cruise, at apx M1.25-1.5.

  • At 45,000ft altitude, maintain a thrust of apx 1,800+ LBS each or 9,000 LBS thrust overall. Or cycle up the edf's for a higher propulsion requirement. the propulsion can manage much high thrust output, it is the equivalent of high performance turbo jets, which then consume more fuel less efficiently. It's similar engineering principles.

  • A highly important feature of Nighthawk, is that it could not suffer from a compressor stall, which means due to the aircraft being very light and high lift capacity, the service ceiling for this aircraft can exceed 65,000ft cruise. Actual service ceiling above that could not be determined until much more modeling and analysis could be conducted.  But this could easily result in even greater cruise speeds above Mach 1.5 without additional power requirements.

Wheels / Gear

  • There are no brakes on this aircraft nor thrust reverses. This aircraft's main gear is equipped with graphene based super conducting motors that reverse polarity during braking, similar to a locomotives diesel electric system, but far more advanced..

  • Nighthawk can taxi without use of the fan units, but also ground steering using the wheel motors/brakes, which also becomes a key technolohy for STOL capabilities, as it can reduce take off distance to as short as apx 1,000ft total. During throttle up, the main gears motors help rapidly accelerate the aircraft to V1 within only 5-10 seconds.

  • Braking, upon landing reverse tension is applied via the wheel motors, eliminating the need for thrust reversers entirely.
    .

  • Gear on this aircraft would also be able to operate on grass strips, similar to Pilatus, as the main gear is similar in nature to an F-18 gear used for carrier operations. It is meant to operate in all conditions from Boca Raton to Antarctic ice runways and remote rugged terrain.
