Recent Progress in Some Aircraft Technologies

 

Superconducting Plasma Actuation

Commonly referred to as Dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuation,  Superconducting plasma actuation is much more powerful, resulting in greater then 1,000% of the effects. The actual field strength is proprietary knowledge.

 

This however does work the other way as well, providing the same results at 1/10th or less of the input current.

 

Essentially, by creating a dielectric field across the surface of an airfoil or surface structure, this alters the airflow, commonly referred to as the laminar flow.

 

Superconducting plasma actuation also dramatically reduced drag/friction.

 

  • Bi-layer CVD based graphene strands/nanotubes are highly super conductive, and electro magnetic, compared to copper, silver, gold, etc. In comparison, the material maintains the ability for greater then 10X the effect at identical input current/voltage.
     

  • Only CVD based graphene is superconducting. Exfoliated graphene and other types are not. The exact engineering and physics will not be disclosed.

As one can see, the transitioning between laminar flow and turbulent boundary layer is striking,

 

When active, the laminar flow is disrupted, creating a distinct turbulent flow, also known as stalling the wings surface.  Essentially, the same function as a control surface like an elevator, rudder, ailerons, flaps, etc.

By utilizing our own innovations in this material, we are able to incorporate Superconducting Plasma Actuation into subsonic, supersonic, hypersonic, re-entry space vehicles, etc.

 

The super conducting properties of Bi-Layer CVD based graphene, by using an undisclosed formula creates a plasma shielding that is greater then 1,000% compared to non super conducting, which then creates a substantial boundary layer around that surface structure.

 

Additionally, by modulating the input power/current, this effectively created a high output flow control, replacing control surfaces.

  • For subsonic vehicles, this results in a dramatic increase in control authority and maneuvering of every aspect of flight from slow speed flight for landing and take off, through extreme maneuvering during high speed flight. Additionally allowing specific application designed aircraft to achieve a much high service ceiling by electro magnetic aerodynamically increasing lift capacity.
     

  • For supersonic vehicles, this drastically reduces the supersonic shock, thermal transfer, and flow of the shock around the aircraft, and improves control authority.
     

  • For Hypersonic vehicles, which the physics are amplified even further. The entire bow section of the nose, no longer interacts with the atmosphere at all, and created a plasma shielding, deflection forward and around the bow section, dramatically lowering thermal transfer and thus reducing the frictional heat generated which can surpass 3,000F, instead it becomes less then 500F at high mach numbers, thus further increasing the vehicle survivability, eliminating the need for tiles and ablatives.
     

  • For Re-entry vehicles, the same effects apply as in atmosphere hypersonic vehicles. But with additional elements that enhance vehicles further. Since a plasma shield is created around the entire underlying surface structure and bow of the aircraft, which results in a substantial plasma boundary layer, this deflects the plasma away from the craft and minimal heat transfer.   Essentially, any space vehicle during re-entry not only is survivable, but controllable during re-entry utilizing modulated plasma barrier actuation.
     

    • This also eliminates the need for tiles, ablatives, and other thermal protection systems for re-entry.  It is always good to incorporate some, but this also results in a much lighter vehicle.
       

    • This aspect also provides the foundational performance for enhanced hypersonic glide vehicles.

 

This specific technology leads to advances in aerospace and space, that most of the public could not comprehend. For example, as seen below, this craft is 105' length. Superconducting plasma actuation is incorporated into its entire surface structure. The aircraft itself will not be disclosed for some time. But it is a VTOL high speed electric aircraft, using zero hydrocarbons.

 

More importantly, it incorporates this technology, which then not only provides Plasma Shielding around the nose section which can also be manipulated and shaped to the desired geometry for maximum shock elimination, but the laminar and turbulent flow around the entire aircraft can be modulated, providing extreme control authority. Essentially, the aircraft has no moving parts outside of the Cabin Doors, landing gear, and vertical take off and landing transitioning.

 

This aircraft type, which is already ready to be built and enter into serial production, replaces all helicopters, vtol craft, and fixed wing airplanes in existence from General Aviation, Military, Commercial, etc.
