U-GTG (Unified Gas Turbine Generators)

 

U-GTG is an engine type that turns turbine assemblies into fully self contained electrical generators. Unlike gas turbine generators today, where the electrical generator is a separate unit bolted to a turbine assembly, U-GTG instead incorporates the entire unit into a self contained platform.

 

This technology can be used in APU's, grid scale gas turbine generator systems, thrust producing turbines (jet engines) including vtol based turbine assemblies.

 

This technology is derivative of our graphene development and hypersonic propulsion systems, as graphene is a super conducting material, but it is much lighter then copper. Yet alone, 2 million psi tensile strength, 300X tensile strength compared to steel.

So graphene based turbine assemblies, mated with internalized generator assemblies, these types of engines are many many times more robust then current turbines/engines.

 

But, by also incorporating our 3rd gen thermal protection development for supersonic/hypersonic aircraft, that also means the graphene will not oxidize and deteriorate. Which as a byproduct eliminates ceramic based CMC processes with commercial/military turbine manufacturers.
